The Manager Who Codes Again
The Story
Fiona, a manager on Boris’s team, hadn’t coded in about a decade. Her schedule was packed with meetings. She had long ago moved from “maker” to “manager.”
Then she started using the Claude mobile app and web interface. Now she writes code multiple times a week, even with her insane meeting schedule. She codes in the gaps: between meetings, from her phone, in 10-minute windows.
AI reversed the “manager vs. maker” divide. The barrier to making collapsed so much that even people whose calendars are full of calls can be builders again.
Lesson for Creators
If you stopped creating because you got busy managing (your business, your team, your clients), the excuse is gone. The tools now let you create in the gaps between meetings, from your phone, in stolen minutes. You don’t need a four-hour deep work block to produce something. You need 10 minutes and the right tool.
